Albemarle County Public Schools has embarked on an ambitious journey to implement a concept-centered, standards-based curriculum. Central to this effort is the Division's ability to provide multi-level tools that connect high-quality assessment and instruction resources to the division's curricular framework. Hear how this Division has used SchoolNet and other information management technologies to unify instructional management, information management and communications, allowing stakeholders to formulate actionable plans that inform instruction and improve student achievement through data-driven decision making.

Going beyond the state standards, imagine that!! Albemarle Public Schools in Virginia, with the support of the superintendent encourages teaching to the test. However, the test is not the local state assessment, but the NSRE(internationally based standards) test.


The district also focuses on 21st century LIFELONG LEARNING STANDARDS and building a framework for quality learning through the alignment of structures and strategies.
