How do I create a new wiki article?

Creating a new article is easy, just follow the steps below:

• Try editing an existing article first to get a feel for writing and for using K12 Wiki.
• Search schoolnet.com’s  K12 Wiki to make sure that an article does not already exist on the subject -  Hint: try searching under a different title.
• Create a new article by clicking on the Add New Article link besides the search field.
• Title the article
• Enter the content for the article. Create and list citations for reliable source(s) of your information. Articles that do not cite reliable published sources are likely to be deleted.
• Click on “Save”
• Please don't create articles about yourself or your friends, articles that advertise, or personal essays.
• Use caution when copying information, and in dealing with controversial material, extremely short articles, and local-interest articles.

How do I change the name of a K12 Wiki article?
Article names can not be changed by community members.  Please contact us if you would like to request a name change of an article.

An article doesn't show up in the search
The search index is maintained on a dedicated server and is updated completely every 1 hour. Recent changes are not reflected until the next time the search index is updated.
