I am presently an Instructional Coach for Albemarle County Public Schools.  I've been a teacher in Albemarle County for eight years with experience at middle school and secondary levels.  I've taught American and World Literature primarily in standard/academic and collaborative special education classes.  I've developed and taught an elective course in African American Studies that is mixed-grade and mixed level.  I'm currently working with the Department of Assessment Resource and Technology to develop critical thinking assessments and rubrics and will be blogging here on Edustat case studies and keynote addresses.

Beyond the classroom, I've served as the Equity and Diversity Resource Teacher and have been a member of the School-Based Intervention Team.  I'm also an at-large Albemarle Education Association representative.
